First time, honey? New eras for IndyCar begin at NASCARís cradle
The IndyCar Series will finally take its first steps to the March 24 season opener at Homestead, Fla. with a two-day road course test at Daytona International Speedway on Wednesday and Thursday.
18 teams are expected to be at the test, which will take place on a modified road circuit that utilizes part of the back stretch and turns three and four of the hallowed Daytona oval. It will also be the first time that all IndyCar Series cars will have 100 percent fuel-grade ethanol running through the 3.5-liter Honda engines that power them.
